I've never been a Funko Pop collector, but Funko Fusion It still catches my eye, I was intrigued by the odd idea of a game that took two unrelated entertainment franchises and combined them into a third-person shooter, and when it became clear that the game was inspired by Lego Video games, I like them more and more, but after playing them Funko FusionI would say Funko fans should buy vinyl figures instead.
Funko FusionThis bizarre collection of random IPs sounds like a fun idea on paper, but it’s not really executable. The franchises featured in Funko Fusion Covering from Five Nights at Freddy's to MegamanShown through unlockable characters and playable levels, all seven franchises feature full worlds where most of the events take place, though it seems as though the IPs chosen to focus on in particular were pulled out of a hat. It's a pleasant surprise that Umbrella InstituteYears since the peak of its popularity and coming off a critically acclaimed final season, there are five levels dedicated to it, while some things that are even more culturally relevant in 2024 include: invincibleThere's only one, and while I loved Edgar Wright's 2007 action comedy, Hot fuzzIt's odd that it has five levels instead of Wright's own. However, meeting special characters like Chucky from Children's play in Funko FusionAnd there’s also some absurdity that makes everything seem fun on a superficial level. The developers clearly have a lot of love for the IP they’re presenting. Funko FusionWith the clever touch of number five from Umbrella Academy Teleporting instead of dodging like the other playable characters in the game. It’s also great to see the worlds of these franchises being recreated, and fans of these IPs will be entertained as they explore the levels.
But when it comes time to actually play the game, Funko Fusion It's a disaster. Players will quickly forget the chaotic charm of seeing random franchises being thrown at the dartboard when they're in the trenches trying to play this game. Funko Fusion The level is a wide open area where the player must move around, solve simple puzzles with unclear objectives, and shoot a bunch of enemy Funko Pops. It can be confusing at times about where to go next or what to do, and the game is also repetitive and full of bugs. Players will never know when they can't progress because they can't figure out what to do or because the game isn't working properly.

And even if everything works properly, Funko Fusion The objectives can be quite boring, with several levels of escort missions that aren't very fun. A particularly annoying escort mission can be found in Jurassic World A level where the player must escort a gyro ball through areas already explored in the previous level. The player must try to keep enemies away from the ball and stay close to it to keep it moving, but touching the ball will cause the player to fall, which will happen about a dozen times before the player reaches the end of the level. Combined with the extreme lag the player has to face, Jurassic World It seems that the level is affected and players have no desire to play again.
Unfortunately, the unlocking Funko Fusion's secret characters and levels often mean replaying previously completed levels, which makes the game even more repetitive. Taking a page from Lego Gameplay Guide Players are encouraged to replay the levels using different characters, each with special abilities that can be used to solve puzzles that were unobtainable on the first playthrough. In theory, this would provide Funko Fusion It's definitely worth a replay, but since the levels are already incredibly difficult, the thought of having to play them again is incredibly daunting.

Funko Fusion The update rebalanced some boss fights to make them more durable, mainly by taking out enemies that were reviving before the update. Funko Fusion Players will not only have to deal with bosses, but in some cases, a ton of enemies that are constantly attacking, making it difficult to focus on the fight. These enemies will also often interrupt the drinking animation, making healing or activating buffs more frustrating than they should be. After the update, Funko FusionBoss fights have definitely been improved, although the core design is still lacking.
The final boss fight occurs at the end. Funko Fusion The world ends with a kaiju battle where the player doesn’t actually participate but instead watches the action unfold, which is a complete departure from the excitement. The stories told in each world also lack proper compensation. Umbrella Institute The world is one of the worst offenders. The first two missions tell the story of season 1, but season 2 is mostly skipped over. Then the final few levels take place in season 3. It's impossible to follow or care. Funko Fusion Try to imitate Lego The game's humorous storytelling is a terrible imitation.

The latest balance update also improves progression, allowing players to unlock new worlds faster and reach the final boss without completing the entire bonus stage.
From unfunny cutscenes to general concepts Funko Fusion Often looks out of brand Lego The game tries to emulate things like the fun of smashing every object in your way, but it produces an unsatisfying result, as most of the objects the player can smash don't even break. Instead, they mostly bounce, spin, and shoot out little balls that act as Funko FusionPlayer currency can be used to purchase machines scattered throughout each level to obtain healing items and weapons, as well as craft essential items needed to complete certain levels.
