WASHINGTON: The White House said on Thursday it would speed up the delivery of air defense interceptor missiles to Ukraine, diverting planned shipments to other allied nations as Washington struggles to counter increasing Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. National security spokesman John Kirby said the US had made the “difficult but necessary decision to re-prioritize planned short-term deliveries of foreign military sales to other countries”, although he did not say which nations would be affected or how many.
