Toy soldiers are great. This year we have a beautiful look. Beautiful design and statue Featured models and a great update to an aging unit (looking at you, Clanrats), it's hard to narrow down so many great releases to just ten Warhammer kits that best represent our hobby this year. 2024 But I made a deal with the plastic gods to give you a definitive ranking. have a purpose and completely biased release of the year
Recently, I've been of the opinion that Games Workshop was outstanding in designing Age of Sigmar and that Warhammer 40K was lagging behind, but interestingly the division between the fantasy and sci-fi phases is almost equal. That wasn't intentional at all. It was just a happy coincidence.
Without further ado, here are TheGamer's Warhammer models of the year.
10
Clawlord On Gnaw-Beast
Games Workshop's biggest game of the year is Age of Sigmar 4.0 Skaventide, revamping the rules. It gives the Skaven faction more power once again and makes Stormcast cool as well.
But it wasn't the warriors of Sigmar that kept me interested, and the Clawlord on the Gnaw-beast was my favorite rat in Ratbox. Before it even launched But nothing compared to the grandeur of the real thing.
9
Crute Lone-Spear
I'm honestly shocked that Kroot Lone-Spear was even on my list. Aliens riding axolotls? This set was a lot of fun to put together and gave 40,000 another chance to show off its creativity.
40K weird is better than 40K boring every day. But there are so many other nifty gadgets that axolotls narrowly avoid wooden spoons.
8
Crethusa the Cornesier
I'm not sure what Krethusa the Croneseer is, but I don't care. She has wings that Sanguinius would kill for, hair that Fulgrim would kill for, and a killer look to wear.
This miniature model is proof that Workshop can still tell great stories with just one model. Look at it and tell me you don't feel the evil aura spreading in the air around you.
7
Stormcast Prosecutor
They did it. They finally did it. The new Stormcast design is amazing. And the winged prosecutor led the group for me.
I'm not interested in Age of Sigmar's larger creatures at all (there's one big exception to keep track of), so Iridan the Witness and Lord-Vgilant on Gryph-stalker. It doesn't do it for me either. But three angels descended from heaven to cruelly punish a group of clever rats? yes please
If I'm being honest, Prosecutors are just as high on the list. Because the Trident makes them feel like they're from Atlantis or something.
6
blood phobia
What am I saying about Age of Sigmar's big models? Sorry. To be honest, I mostly like this gear because I like transforming it into a unique Dark Mechanicus beast. I told you this would be bias.
5
Warrior of Rohan
I'm always glad to see more of my favorite Middle-earth strategy fighting games. And the new statue is impressive. We no longer just put our foot on a pedestal and get it done. These models come with a variety of parts and weapons.
The Rohan Warriors are a personal favorite (although the Hill Trolls might have been usurped if I could have caught them in time) because they bring the aging period up to date with modern digital sculpting. I hope to see more support for MESBG in the future. Are you listening to the workshop?
4
Night Lord Slaughter Team
I've never felt the pull of Chaos so strongly before this year, although the unreleased but recently announced Emperor's Children certainly managed to convince me to play. But it all started with the Night Lords.
One of the best upgrade sets Games Workshop has ever produced, a cloak made from skin and a chain sword made from ribs give this unit a lot of personality. All of the Kill Team units were very good this year, but the Night Lords were the best. comfortably
3
Thanatar Seage-Automata
I love big robots. This is the best big robot. For the side I like What else can I say? Bronze medal.
I love This series, I don't have a particularly affinity for Kroot, but the energy and momentum carved into these beasts is very impressive. If I were more specific This item is for Rampager who is balancing on one foot. It doesn't feel wobbly when dropped. Not only is it sturdy when dropped (yes, I've dropped it), but it still looks good. This painstakingly carved model is much easier to paint.
I have Rampagers at the top of my list. of the program almost throughout the year Until I looked back at my collection and found one model that eclipsed them. I was just as surprised. with who you are
1
Ushoran, the King of Summer
Wow. I mean wow. Ushoran is a straight-up villain in Dark Souls, a creature so loathsome, detestable, and delusional that he radiates terror from every pore. I might convert him into a Skaven Verminlord, but I'd still like to pick another one and paint it normally. Although I'm not talking about the rest of the Flesh-eater Courts line.
Ushoran looks elegant, but the real excitement is in the details. His cloak comes in about five pieces. It is made up of layers of leather and hides building blocks on top of each other to create that curved posture. Jewelry, bone crowns, skeletons remained hidden in the folds of clothing and scattered on the floor. This little car has it all. And deserves the title of Model of the Year 2024.

Warhammer's Secret Level Episode Is the Best 40K TV Since Astartes
The Warhammer 40K TV show can be hit and miss, but the Secret Level episode is a serious wound.
