The fight between Sukuna and Gojo was foretold from the beginning of the series as a clash between the strongest sorcerer of all time and the strongest sorcerer of the present era. Their fight certainly lived up to the hype, as the two sorcerers showed that they were on a different level than the others, demonstrating unrivaled mastery of cursed techniques and Jujutsu magic control.
Sukuna was finally able to find the only way to deal with Infinity, and that was how he killed Gojo at the end of the long and dramatic battle. However, he never got the chance to savor his victory, as the remaining members of Jujutsu High did not hesitate to join the fight to kill the King of Curses. With the heroes' relentless attacks and the fact that Sukuna never had the chance to properly recover from his fight with Gojo, he was eventually defeated by Yuji at the end, separated from Megumi and dispersed into the wind.
I'm impressed that you can make fun of this so well. Yuji Itadori, don't underestimate me… I'm… a curse!
How will Sukuna survive:
Sukuna's defeat of Yuji was an incredible moment to finally see, especially after he seemed like the most unstoppable force of nature that no one could defeat unless they were as powerful as Gojo. However, the King of Curses underestimated Yuji, who proved to be the most capable sorcerer the series had introduced, as he learned various advanced techniques in a short amount of time.
Sukuna also underestimates Yuji in other ways. While he once saw Yuji as a delinquent who looked down on Jujutsu sorcerers, Yuji was the only one who felt a connection to Sukuna because of the time Sukuna was in his body and their relationship as the only family member they had left. Because of this, chapter 268 of the manga shows Yuji's kindness.
Sukuna… Try again. Life is not about cursing someone, but about living with them.
Yuji picks up Sukuna as his cursed body dissipates, giving him the chance to continue living inside his body as he always has. In this way, Sukuna will continue to live, but in practice will become a prisoner inside Yuji's body, unable to exist in the outside world to carry out his orders and harm others as he once did during the Heian period.
While this gives Sukuna a way out of his own way to avoid death once again, it's unlikely that he'll accept Yuji's offer. That's because Sukuna is a character whose entire purpose is to live his life according to his wishes no matter what. His passionate words to Kashimo prove this as well, as he states that living by his own standards and rules is the only way to go, and he lives his life the way he does because that's what he truly wants.
If he were to remain within Yuji, such an act would be seen as going against everything he stands for, as he would essentially become a prisoner who could not live as he wished. There is no indication that Sukuna directly fears death, so he chooses to leave on his own terms rather than continue living as a prisoner.
Furthermore, this could still happen, as while he was disintegrating, he was never seen completely disintegrating, but was instead shown in Yuji's final moments after he gave Sukuna the option to continue living if he wanted. Although it seems highly unlikely, there is still some doubt about Sukuna's ultimate fate, as he could have accepted Yuji's offer, and Sukuna had no other way to survive.
