There's hardly been a dull moment for Cal Kestis and the Stinger Mantis team since Cere Junda and Greez Dritus rescued Cal on Bracca in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderIt is safe to say that no one has ever tracked down a Stinger Mantis crew so successfully and with such care. Bounty hunters are a source of tension and high stakes in Star Wars Jedi So far, but whether the Haxion Brood will return for a third time or be kept for random mercenary groups is another question, especially if Cal himself is classified as a bounty hunter. Star Wars Jedi That Makes Cal Kestis a Bounty Hunter May Use Jango Fett's Origin Story
Star Wars: Bounty Hunter There are a variety of “dead or alive” contracts that players can choose from at their leisure. This concept is brilliantly realized in the early levels of chapters, such as Coruscant, where enemies are few enough for players to comfortably spend time scanning NPCs with Jango’s slow-motion POV mask.
However, hunting for bounties becomes increasingly difficult and inconvenient in later chapters, with enemies charging in waves, attacking the player and firing blaster or missiles from an invisible distance. Still, it’s an interesting feature that makes the game feel more like a traditional arcade shooter. Choosing to hunt bounties while alive means that the player must first mark a scanned bounty target, then tie it to Jango Fett’s whip and interact with it, which is nearly impossible to do in a room full of enemies.
The harder part is trying to eliminate every enemy in the room first and save the bounty target for last, but there are very few options to get bounties in the mid to late game. Blaster poses, and some for BD-1's droid cuts and blaster cosmetics that they can use. And of course, there's going to be bigger rewards in the sequels for hunting down characters and having the option to bring those rewards to life.
Bounty hunting in Star Wars Jedi is too important to be kept a secret any longer
There's no permanent Haxion Brood deal yet, and with so many bounty hunters and bounty droids already cut off by Cal, it makes sense that the hunt for Sorc Tormo will continue and become even more brutal in the third game. However, Cal has now developed a fondness for bounty hunting, putting him in an interesting position to hunt for a bounty himself, even if Caij doesn't tell him about the location of the Brood that's patiently waiting for him.
Survivor It's been teased that Cal may soon be hanging up his lightsaber and fighting for good, but while the Haxion Brood are searching for Cal, Kestis, and his crew of fugitive Jedi Knights, the Stinger Mantis, there may not be a quick way out of the bounty business until that problem is indefinitely resolved, and it would be a shame to see this subplot scrapped in Episode Three.
