Egyptian economic experts attributed the rise to recent developments in the region. “The most important factor affecting the price of the US dollar against the pound is the money that Egyptians send abroad. If the dollar rises, the price of the dollar will remain the same or fall against the pound. If the dollar falls, the price of the dollar will rise, which will result in the price of the pound falling,” the economist told Arab News.
