6v6 mode
- Players can now choose any of 4 roles before entering a match. and will play this role throughout the match Role switching is not available in 6v6.
- The Snitch and the Searcher will be on the field at all times during the match.
- Snitch competitions have been adjusted to account for longer times in the field:
- Time to fill the Snitch Meter has been increased.
- Reduced the number of Snitch Meters removed by Bludger attacks to 2.5% (from 5%).
- Reduced the number of Snitch Meters killed by elimination to 10% (from 25%).
- The tracking mechanism for Searchers on teams trailing by 30 points or more has been removed.
- Respawn time for all roles reduced to 7 seconds (from 20 seconds).
- Party system:
- Allow parties to include up to 6 players and modify the party UI to accommodate them.
- When playing as a Chaser in 6v6 battles, the Chaser next to your Keeper determines your equipment (Chaseer Skill Points and Broom Stats are applied to all Chasers).
- The match will not start with bots. But similarly to 3v3 mode, they refill as players drop. (Until new players are found to fill the empty slots)
- Skill points and broom stats are available in 6v6.
- We're trialling the 6v6 mode, our first foray into ranked mode.
- Players can view their current rank and skill rank (SR) in the Career tab.
- Winning increases SR, losing decreases SR.
- Leaving the competition early This results in an SR penalty.
Gameplay balance/optimization
- Door ring size reduced
- Made role labels and visibility of role icons more uniform across roles.
- Re-enable Aim Assist for campaign mode difficulties lower than Champion.
- Aim Assist is still available in PvP matches and Champion difficulty.
- Added settings to the “Gameplay” tab that allow players to adjust Keeper's camera settings. Players can adjust volume, height, and distance.
- Balanced Keeper now dives to no longer slow down before reaching the center of the target ring.
Challenge
- Fixed an issue that could prevent Seeker Bumps from completing the “Any Hits” daily challenge.
- Fixed an issue that caused the “Match Win” Dedication Career Challenge to restart each level from 0. From now on, progress will be carried forward correctly to the next level. HPQC-334
- Updated how players unlock cups and their difficulty.
- By default All trophies come on both Normal and Standard difficulty when unlocked.
