RIYADH: Members of Saudi Arabia's Masam Project have cleared 670 mines from different areas of Yemen last week, including five anti-personnel mines, 47 anti-tank mines, 570 unexploded ordnance and 21 explosive devices, according to the latest report. Since its inception in 2018, a total of 453,968 mines have been cleared, the project's managing director Osama al-Gozaibi said. These explosives are laid indiscriminately and pose a threat to civilians, including children, women and the elderly.
