Maxibon brings back Peanut Butter and Jam flavour

A cult classic dessert has finally made its way back to shelves after it disappeared eight years ago.

Maxibon has brought back the Peanut Butter and Jam dessert after fans begged for it to return. It hasn’t been available in supermarkets for the last eight years.

Chef Nick Vavitis, who runs the brownie company Choclt, said the Peanut Butter and Jam Maxibon was his all-time favourite shared his taste test on TikTok after getting his hands on a box.

“For so long I was asking ‘please bring them back, please bring them back’. We’ve got them back. Let’s see if they taste the same,” he said.

He said the salty peanut butter was a standout but was “shocked” when he didn’t see any jam after biting into it. However, he said, the taste of the jam was definitely present.

“I don’t know how they’ve done it but this is exactly how I remember,” he said.

Other social media users were also keen to get their hands on the ice cream.

“Could not find them, grrr,” one social media user said.

Another said: “Cant wait to try this.”

The ice creams are currently on sale at Woolworths and independent retailers in a four-pack, and will be available at Coles from April 8.

Maxibon brand manager Stephanie Chosich said the brand was “so excited about sharing our revamped creation with Maxibon fans across Australia”.

“We’ve had more requests to bring this flavour back than any other, so at a time when sandwich delis and ice cream sandwiches are buzzing across Australia, the timing felt right,” she said.

“We’re really proud of Maxibon Peanut Jams with Butter, and there’s a few people on our team who are already speculating whether this could be Maxibon’s most delicious creation yet!”
