Marines who deserve a promotion

Important things to remember

  • The Marines prevent pirates from taking over the One Piece world.
  • Some Marines, such as Kujaku and Prince Kras, deserve a promotion.
  • Characters like Bogard and Rosinante demonstrate dedication.

Without the Marines, pirates would be a major force in One PieceThe personnel serving the organization do their utmost to ensure that pirates do not wreak havoc across the globe. It is clear that some Marines are more dedicated to the mission and more dedicated to the job.

Unfortunately, their actions are often not recognized. Commanders can be biased, and they can easily overlook their soldiers’ accomplishments if they want to. With that in mind, here are some Marines who deserve to be promoted for their actions.

7 Kujaku

Current rank: Admiral

Kujaku from the cartoon One Piece

Kujaku is the granddaughter of Tsuru, a legendary Marine. Kujaku is a brave person who is not afraid of challenges. She is confident in her own abilities, which is why she does not hesitate to take on risky missions.

Kujaku possesses the Muji-Muchino-Mi Devil Fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit. Its power is tied to her whip. When someone is attacked, they inevitably fall under Kujaku's control, and follow her every command. This ability is not limited to living things; even inanimate objects such as buildings can be turned into obedient slaves. Kujaku played a major role in rescuing Koby in Hachinozu, so she has proven that she deserves a promotion.

6 Prince Krus

Current rank: Admiral

Prince Kras from One Piece

Prince Grus is part of the new Marine unit. He is one of the few young Marines who have proven themselves capable of handling difficult situations. Grus was first introduced in a cover story about Bege's family. However, his official debut occurs in the chapter Egghead.

Prince Grus is a capable fighter, as seen in his performance in Hachinozu, where he helped Garp rescue Coby. Grus uses Gunyogun Yonomi to create clay golems to attack and distract the pirates in Hachinozu. Although Grus is extremely talented, he may need to work a little harder to become an admiral.

5 Bogard

Current Ranking: Unknown

Bogard from One Piece

Bogard is Monkey D. Garp's right-hand man. He has been part of the organization for decades, and there's no doubt that he's loyal to the Marines. Bogard doesn't participate in many battles, but he's experienced. He knows his limits, and he doesn't rush in recklessly without thinking.

Bogard's rank is unclear, so it's assumed he's at least a lieutenant. If that's the case, then Bogard should be a rear admiral or at least a lieutenant commander. As the story picks up speed towards the end, fans will soon learn Bogard's true strength and rank.

4 Rosinante

Last known position: Commander

The Death of Corazon

Don Quixote Rosinante is the son of Homing. Unlike his brother, Rosinante is kind and caring towards others. He realizes that Doflamingo is on a path of destruction and decides to stop him by sending him as a spy. Rosinante joins the Marines and returns to Doflamingo to follow his activities.

Rosinante was excellent at his job, and his Devil Fruits played a key role in helping to deceive his brother and the rest of the crew. Rosinante's Nagi Nagi no Mi power nullified surrounding noise, making it perfect for his deception. Rosinante obtained all of the crucial details regarding Doflamingo, and the latter would have never known if it weren't for Vergo. When he died, Rosinante was merely a commander, and someone of his caliber should have been at the very least a captain.

3 X-Drake

Current rank: Admiral

X-Drake in his Allosaurus hybrid form in One Piece.

X-Drake is the captain of SWORD, a top secret organization within the Marine Corps. He has been undercover for years, convincing everyone that he is a supernova, aiming to become a top pirate. X-Drake successfully infiltrates the Beasts Pirates, learns more about Yonko's plans, and informs the other SWORD members of his plans.

X-Drake possesses the Allosaurus version of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, an ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows him to transform into an Allosaurus. This fruit greatly increases his physical attributes, allowing him to fight stronger enemies without any problems. X-Drake is currently an admiral, but there is definitely a chance he will be promoted.

2 Kobe

Current position: Captain

At the time of his release, no one could have predicted that Kobe would become one of the lesser-known One Piece characters. He joined the Marines after Luffy saved him from Alvida's clutches. Garp later took Kobe under his wing and trained him to become stronger. The training was a huge success, and Kobe eventually developed both physically and mentally.

Kobe was involved in the Rocky Harbor Incident, which earned him the nickname “Hero”. Kobe also took part in the major battle at Hachinozu, where he was able to destroy Pizarro's giant arm with a single blow. In addition to these achievements, Kobe was endorsed by Garp, who called him the future of the Marines. Taking all of this into account, Kobe deserves to at least attain the rank of Admiral.

1 Smoker

Current rank: Vice Admiral

Smoker dodges attacks with his Logia powers in One Piece

Smoker is one of the few recurring characters in One Piece Not affiliated with the Straw Hat Pirates, Smoker made his debut in the Loguetown arc, where he defeated Luffy and almost captured him as well. However, Dragon saved his son and thwarted Smoker's plans. Smoker refused to give up and pursued the Straw Hats to the Grand Line.

Despite his limited screen time, Smoker is still a fan favorite, and fans have high expectations for him. One of the main reasons Smoker deserves a promotion is because he's one of the few Marines who really cares about the people. He's against the manipulation of information, something that current Marine commanders are very fond of doing. For now, Smoker will remain an admiral, but he'll likely become the Marine Chief of Staff.
