Fortnite received its first big update of 2025 this week, and the biggest one is that it looks to be adding a legend to the game that will turn you into a full-sized and incredibly powerful Godzilla from the start. This Friday That's good news. The bad news, for some at least, is that Fortnite's mission menu has been completely revamped. And it seems like most people aren't fascinated by what they look like right now.
Until this week's update, missions will be listed under their own tabs. And you have to select a specific game mode to see the related missions. Missions for all modes can now be viewed at any time, no matter which mode you choose. Each mode has its own section.

Everyone thanked Hatsune Miku.
On the one hand, it sounds pretty good. There is no switching between modes. to check the mission anymore And which modes are worth continuing? However, the underwhelming reaction to this change is that navigating the mission menu is now much more time consuming, as Game Rant highlighted quite a bit. So much so that players have already reported eliminating suffering while checking them out in the game to see which mission they should tackle next.
All missions in one place But it may not be as good as it should be.
Although not needing to turn on either mode to view missions is a plus. But combining everything means the Missions tab has more submenus to explore than ever before. When you are in the heat of battle Wondering how you should proceed to ensure you get the maximum XP? Scrolling down the options to find a list of other options isn't ideal. Additionally, because some people have already done this wrong, As you're standing there with a screen full of menus, any enemies that happen to you will easily eliminate you.
Not everyone hates new menu items. Some people can see the vision and accept that with all the missions under one virtual roof. It makes the tab look much cleaner. There will always be detractors. And it will be interesting to see if their complaints are loud enough for Epic to rethink the change and bring back the old way of listing missions.
One thing that was part of the update was that it was poorly received. At least not seen before is the addition of Hatsune Miku to the Fortnite Festival. The hugely popular virtual pop star is the icon of Fortnite Festival Season 7 and can be unlocked by simply purchasing a pass. Through music, an alternative Fortnite-themed skin for Miku can be unlocked by completing it.

Starting life as a tower defense game, Fortnite has grown into one of the biggest video games. Battle royale modes dominate popular culture. It features concerts from famous musicians and crossovers with just about every brand imaginable, from Marvel to the NFL.
