Musou games are famous for having a large number of enemies on screen at any given time. It is one of the main features of the genre, however, the upcoming game Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Slated for release in January 2025, it's about to take things to the next level.
In an interview with TheGamer, series producer/director Tomohiko Sho shared that the team aims to have 10,000 soldiers on screen at any given time.

During my conversation with Sho-san, I asked the producer if pushing the PlayStation 5 to its limits was difficult. To which he jokingly responded, “For me, it's easy, but I'm just a game director.” He said the challenge fell to the programming team, who set lofty goals.
“I think programmers are probably the ones who are challenged. They wanted to show at least 10,000 soldiers on screen, that was also their ambition. It might be difficult for them to do that. But they work really hard, and I think you can see that with how they look on screen.”
