Deus Vult is crowned as the champion of MLBB Continental Championships (MCC) Season 2

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Continental Championships (MCC) Season 2 came to an end with Deus Vult emerged as the champion. After defeating Umbrella Squad by a 4-3 scoreline in the grand final match, the team tasted the sweet win. Besides the trophy and the largest share of the prize pool, the champion team also qualified for the upcoming grand event of MLBB esports, the M5 World Championship 2023. The runner-up Umbrella Squad, on the other hand, will play in the wildcard stage.

With 8 teams, the event started on the 12th of August. Organized by Moonton and FISSURE, it featured $30,000 as the prize money.

Among the 8 participants, the top 6 made it to the playoff stage. Umbrella Squad and Deus Vult captured the top two positions and got a match advantage, both of the teams started in the UB semifinals. The champion Deus met Icon in the upper-bracket semi and won the game by 2-0. The other winner from the UB semifinal bracket, Umbrella Squad, was waiting to greet the champion in the UB final. Deus lost the game and went down to the lower-bracket final.

Deus played their LB final match against Icon once again. Icon could not take revenge rather lost the match to the champion. Thus, Deus approached the final match of MCC season 2. The grand final was filled with twists and strong comeback stories. Deus won the first three rounds and was left with a single round away to lift the trophy.

But Umbrella Squad shocked everyone and won three consecutive rounds and the scoreline was 3-3. In the final round of the grand final, after a 30-minute long battle between the teams, Deus took the game and became the champion of the MLBB Continental Championships (MCC) Season 2.

Prize Pool

The champion of MLBB Continental Championships Season 2 Deus Vult bagged the largest share among all. A total of $11,000 went into the team’s pocket. The runner-up team took $6,500 while the third-placed team Icon grabbed $4,500 for them. Deus will represent the region on the international stage, thus the focus of the fans will be on the team.
