Why does The Elder Scrolls 6 have more to prove than GTA 6?
Valve has always struggled to count to three. After more than a decade since the flagship series' last entry, Rockstar and Bethesda are finally ready to count to six.
Although Rockstar has remained annoyingly quiet about GTA 6 and seems unlikely to release a second trailer until 2025, the series as a whole has not been so quiet. earlier this week An update dropped for GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition which fixes several issues. And it also makes those of us waiting for GTA 6 excited.
GTA 6 textures found in GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition
As Redditor Skindiamondxx pointed out on the GTA 6 subreddit, GTAForums admin Spider-Vice shared textures that were buried in GTA Trilogy's files after the game's latest patch update. The surface in question is a small sign that says “We will no longer accept cash stored in underwear” and can be seen in the final scene of GTA 6's first trailer.
The remaining surface is just a swinging door and isn't very interesting. But the appearance of the little note that will appear in GTA 6 is very strange. To make matters even more interesting, Spider-Vice confirmed that textures have been in the GTA Trilogy for quite some time. Because the update actually only fixes the orientation and makes it easier to see.
Considering GTA Trilogy released in 2021 and the first trailer for GTA 6 released last year. That means the textures have been hidden in Trilogy's files for nearly three years. It's unclear if this is a purposeful GTA 6 easter egg or just a random texture recycled by Grove Street Games or Rockstar. But it was a unique discovery.
