After making $1.3 billion at the box office, Deadpool & Wolverine is about to get its second hit now that its run has wrapped. and is available for purchase and rental through digital platforms. It's also the 50th anniversary of Deadpool, and The Merc With A Mouth's hit film coincides with his birthday, resulting in some very special and limited-edition merchandise being revealed ahead of New York Comic-Con.
Loungefly officially released the Deadpool 50th Anniversary Backpack this week. The design features an image of anti-heroes holding hands in a heart shape around it. window in bag An image of Wolverine is visible through the window. But there are some even better things you can see through that window. And it's not a copy of Deadpool & Wolverine, although pre-orders for the MCU film's Steelbook are already available.
The backpack comes with an exclusive metallic Wolverine Pop, and although Loungefly doesn't display the Pop inside the bag, it can be seen through the bag's window. From where I was sitting, the Pop looked like it would fit in the bag and be framed. By the hand of Deadpool's heart Wolverine Pop spread out his claws and gritted his teeth. Fitting as I always thought Wolverine was gritting his teeth all the time. and any dental damage he caused by doing so. It was fixed with his special regeneration powers.
Keep Wolverine Prisoner in this Loungefly Deadpool Backpack.
Even his claws didn't help him this time.
The backpack features a repeating Deadpool logo pattern embossed in faux leather. And there are several Easter eggs waiting to be discovered in the design, such as a cartoon taco as a zipper tag. There's only one downside to this backpack/Funko Pop combo reveal: availability. The collection will debut at New York Comic-Con, which takes place between October 17 and October 20, and will only sell 1,000 copies. It's unclear when they'll go on sale. But it won't last long.
Although the bundle will be released during NYCC, those who aren't attending the event can still purchase it. Funko and Loungefly will likely be adding more Comic-Con products to their sites all at once over the weekend.
Funko and Loungefly used San Diego and New York Comic-Cons to reveal and sell a variety of special merchandise. At this year's SDCC, Pokemon's Arceus Jumbo Pop was on sale and sold out almost immediately. And I think a similar Dialga figure will generate the same amount of buzz at NYCC. Sonic's Metal Knuckles Pop will be available during NYCC, a niche character released only at Comic-Con. It's a great way to Guaranteed to work well according to sales principles.
