With a crowded February release and some old-fashioned Ubisoft style behind it. Tweaks over the next few months may not save Shadows from itself.
As first seen on Reddit, Shadows' first “Battle Pass” has now been revealed in details. Those details include images of unlockable outfits, mounts, and weapons. Not only that But the leak also gives us our first look at what Ubisoft is calling Animus Hub, a massive app that will be the home for future AC installments. There's a Battle Pass for everything.
From the available information, it looks like Yasuke will be the main controllable character in the hub. It's unclear if Naoe, the game's other protagonist, will be able to be chosen.
Additionally, the first “Battle Pass” will be free to progress further. It's not yet clear if future passes will have a paid component. When Shadows was postponed several weeks ago, Ubisoft made some big changes. Including the removal of Early Access. And making the first planned expansion of the game free, the initial free Battle Pass will be in line with those initiatives.
Among the unlockable elements are a certain weapon called “Cereluean Nexus” along with the aforementioned vehicles. and some currencies The first pass is called Eye In The Dark, and according to Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson, later passes will be called The Hidden Network, The Last Ronin, and In The Shadows, respectively.
Even though there's nothing much But it does give us some idea of what Ubisoft has in mind for the future of the AC series based on past rumors. There are plans to release 10 Assassin's Creed games over the next five years, all of which will likely be part of this Animus Hub Launcher. That means future Quasi Battle Passes could soon be part of the equation. Although only time will tell what Ubisoft has in store for gamers.
