Sasuke has obviously gotten a lot stronger over the years, and now he might be a lot stronger than fans expected. In fact, when compared to his past self, when he had the Rinnegan, Sasuke might not be that far off, but some instances have suggested that he might be stronger in some ways. This might confuse some fans, but they only need to watch his fight with Code that happened during the time skip.
