With that costume, he looked friendly and lovable without being too much like his other costumes.
It’s not just about the perfectly balanced design, but also the emotional component of the suit. This was the garment given to Chopper by Dr. Hiriluk when he adopted him, and the iconic pink hat eventually became Chopper’s most prized possession after the doctor’s tragic death.
